Fresh Sensation Condoms 20 x 24" Chromogenic c-print, 2000 A poster promoting a brand of ficticious condoms, this is the first artwork that I have made that has been overtly about the subject of sex. The man on the head of the phallus is my husband, Jason Carucci, and the face in the center of the purple flower is mine. It was inspired by a Miro drawing (featuring a large phallus) in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and partly a reaction to a piece on sex (involving fresh vegetables) in the infamous "Sensation" show at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. next	Top: Fresh Sensation Condoms; below: detail
