| Payphone Project H x W x D" mixed mediums, 1996 In 1996, I was commissioned by the Public Art Fund to make a proposal for a temporary outdoor project. This piece was never built. This sculpture was conceived as a response to life in New York City. The streets are crowded, vendors vie for your attention, everyone is in your face. At home, you can't avoid the sales people who constantly call to hawk their long-distance deals or magazines. next |
